Mower Day Stall Update

It was a very sunny & busy day at Omokoroa No 1 school last Sunday 13th Nov. Managed to sell all but 2 of the butterflies plus one bag and a wrap around skirt so minus the stall fee and a top up I have transferred $200 to the Help for the Poor account , giving them $150 US. Not as much as I hoped but every little bit helps!

We're going to Mower Day!

I am finally able to set up a stall to sell the lovely bags, handmade butterflies, silk cushion covers and other bits and pieces that Ange and I have brought back in our trips to Cambodia and Thailand.
I hope to be able to send some more cash over via the account that can be direct accessed by Vuthy to pay for education expenses.
So I hope to see you at Omokoroa No 1 School, Plummers Point, near Tauranga on the 13th November 2011.

New Flooding Sept 2011

I have received recent pictures from Lim Vuthy showing the flooding at the Childrens Home and on the nearlby streets. This is a reasonably frequent occurrence during the rainy season as the Home is only 100m or so from the Tonle Sap ( Sap River) which joins with the Mekong. This year however the amount of water is particularly bad and other supporters in Australia that I have recently had contact with are going to try to build a second storey on the childrens living quarters building, to enable the to go above the water when it happens again.
