Haven't had any personal contact with the Orphanage lately but have got a brief indication from Mission Outreach that the children are well & everything is operating as normal. A little over $3000 was donated to MO for the Orphanage, to go toward the children's educational needs. This has now ended as a project for them.
As mentioned previously (see Supporting families & education) one other project run by EFC in Cambodia is to assist families to keep their children to stay at home, attend school daily & get good nutrition. So they have support workers that have 20 families each to visit & provide assistance in the way of finances for education & rice as well as advice & social support. I am interested in finding out more about this & how we can help from NZ so watch this space.... have a wonderful Christmas & enjoy your family at this time.
